February 21, 2025 by Hollandsx8 Leave a Comment

Do you ever find yourself wishing you had some croutons for your salad, but your out? Well, I’m here to help you out with a little trick I learned. Once you learn just how easy it is to make homemade croutons you”ll never have to settle with store bought croutons again!

What type of bread to use?

You can use any type of bread that you have on hand. From whatever you may have bought at the store to your own home made sourdough, and even gluten free breads.

Here are the Steps for the Best Homemade Croutons!

First, start by slicing up your bread into roughly, three quarter inch cubes, and place in a medium size bowl. Drizzle olive oil over the freshly sliced cubes and sprinkle salt and seasonings. Stir gently to combine

Second, place on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Make sure none of the cubes are stacked up on each other, they should be laid out in a single layer.

Lastly, place in a preheated oven at 350 degrees. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes till lightly browned. Half way though the baking process you need to flip the croutons using a metal spatula to ensure even browning.
